August 09: Voices Vic will be holding its official launch on 26 August, and our special guest is none other than Ron Coleman!  Click here for the invite.   We have also announced the first round of training for group faciliators; click here for details.

July 09: Voices Vic officially opened its office on 13 July 2009, and started with a bang by offering training on individual work with Voice Hearers, with Trevor Eyles, HV expert from Denmark, in our first week.  Over 20 people attended the training and the feedback was great.

June 09:  More great news!  The Helen Macpherson Smith Trust has approved a grant for Voices Vic.  Together with the Ian Potter grant and the support of Prahran Mission, we now have enough funding to start operations next month.

May 09:  We are delighted to report that the Ian Potter Foundation has approved a grant to help fund the establishment of Voices Vic.  On behalf of Voice Hearers across Victoria, we are extremely grateful for their support.  We hope to report further funding successes in the coming month, with our target being to launch Voices Vic by 13th July, 2009.

Feb 09: Using the HVN Feasibility Study and a comprehensive business case, Prahran Mission has submitted funding applications to enable us to set up a dedicated support team for the network. Depending on funding, we hope to have the team up and running by July 2009. Stay tuned for updates.

Jan 09: Prahran Mission has completed a feasibility study for the Hearing Voices Network of Victoria (HVN-Vic). This document provides a strong case for the establishment of the HVN-Vic, including a dedicated team to develop and support the network. For a copy of the feasibility study, click here.

Dec 08: With funding support from The Ian Potter Foundation, Prahran Mission has spent the last few months visiting a range of Mental Health services around regional Victoria to talk about the proposed network. There has been lots of interest, particularly from regional services and voice hearers and a number of services are keen to start groups.
