About the opportunity

If you’ve ever wanted to take your retail management skills to a completely new arena, one that looks beyond a bottom-line and return on investment, one where you can focus on contributing in a concrete way to the lives of people, then this is your chance.

As a Social Firm program, our Goodwill Shop is a fixture of Prahran’s iconic Chapel Street landscape. Our Shop is mostly staffed by people with differing levels of skill and ability – but all are committed to creating a sense of community and good will!

This is a unique chance to make a difference and improve the outlook for disadvantaged people in our community and at the same time build on our unique offer to the Chapel St precinct.

But without strong leadership, we can only dream of maximising our progress and build on our momentum. To help us achieve this, we’re currently on the hunt for a talented Retail Store Manager.

Could you be the one we’re searching for?

This is a 6-month contractual opportunity with the possibility of ongoing employment.

About you

Hailing from a retail environment, you’ve had the opportunity to fine-tune that innate capacity to lead. You’re empathetic, reliable and honest. Being fair, consistent and reasonable in your approach is critical to creating a stable environment. You are not afraid to be an advocate and you thrive on opportunities and challenges that fine tune your approach. You have clear but flexible communication skills and the motivation to be a mentor.
