Programs
Prahran Mission provides 16 programs across four key service areas:
- Second Story delivers a range of programs that develop social, living and creative skills to assist consumers who experience mental illness.
- Open House and Mingles Drop-In Centres provide a communal space open to people over the age of 18.
- The Stables Art Studio provides an extension to people's creative recovery and provides a bridge between Second Story and the commercial art world.
- ConnectED is a HARP project that aims to reduce the preventable use of hospital emergency services by improving the health and wellbeing of people with mental health and complex psychosocial needs, who may be socially isolated or homeless, and who are like frequent users of hospital emergency and inpatient services.
- Multicultural Access and Support Program (MCAS) supports people from diverse cultural backgrounds (CALD) to access appropriate mental health, community and disability support services.
These programs provide a place for people to come and learn new skills, or maybe relearn old skills, to make friends and participate in activities. People can have fun and develop confidence in their ability to meet with people, and to accomplish their own goals within a structured environment developed for each particular client or within an informal drop-in centre environment which operates seven days a week.

Community Aged Care Packages and community housing programs.
Home Based Outreach provides comprehensive, home based services to a range of consumers in and across the Southern and Eastern Metropolitan regions. Our programs provide assistance to such groups as the frail aged, women with a psychiatric illness (with dependent children in their care) and people living in Kinkora and Wynnstay hostels. We support people to live independently and safely in a way that is meaningful to them. Participation in all our programs is voluntary.
Our services are coordinated by program managers. We aim to connect people with networks within their local community and we work collaboratively with a range of other service providers to ensure that consumers are adequately supported and their presenting needs met in a timely and appropriate manner.
All consumers of this service have a structured, individualised program that documents their goals, strategies, support required and reviews the outcome of this work.

Community Services programs target the local community and aim to provide people with good quality, affordable services. In particular the Cafe and Goodwill Shop target people who are financially and/or socially disadvantaged.
Community Services are also responsible for the orientation and induction of volunteers to Prahran Mission.
