Vicserv - Psychiatric Disability Services of Victoria (VICSERV) Inc., known as VICSERV, is the peak body for Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation and Support Services in Victoria.
Primary Care Partnerships Statewide Health Services Directory: Australia's most extensive directory of community support services providing access to 104,131 health, welfare and community service records.
Commonwealth Family and Community Services national service directory: The Community Portal provides access to online services and information for Australian community organisations and communities.
Carer Support Services
Victorian Carers Services Network: In 1996 the Commonwealth Government through its Commonwealth Respite for Carers Program and the Victorian Government through its Victorian Carers Initiatives provided funds to improve services for carers. As a result ten new services were set up throughout Victoria, one in each Victorian health region, and two in the Barwon region. The aim of these services is to provide information, carer support and respite co-ordination for carers. These ten services together with Carer Resource Centre and Carers Victoria form the Victorian Carer Services Network.
Carers Association of Australia: Carers Australia is the national voice of carers. Carers are usually family members who provide support to children or adults who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition or who are frail aged.
Inner South Parents & Friends: a community support group for the families and friends of people with a serious mental illness in the Inner South East region: the Cities of Stonnington, Port Phillip and Glen Eira as well as carers from outside these areas who might be seeking information and support.
Multicultural Services:
Action on Disability within Ethnic Communities Inc (ADEC): ADEC strives to empower people with a disability from non-english speaking backgrounds, their carers, and families to fully participate as members of the Victorian community.
Victorian Transcultural Psychiatry Unit: The VTPU is a statewide unit which supports area mental health and psychiatric disability support services in working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities throughout Victoria.
