Why volunteer at Prahran Mission?
For over 60 years people have supported Prahran Mission's services by volunteering. Every volunteer at Prahran Mission is highly valued for the integral role they play in working together to provide quality of services.
With various volunteering opportunities, Prahran Mission is able to offer volunteers a unique experience that suits the individual's interests, skillsets or availability.
Prahran Mission can accommodate the placement of volunteers individually, in pairs or in large groups.
What could you do?
Below are examples of where we need your assistance:
- Preparing food, serving customers and dish washing at the Café.
- The Café is open Monday to Friday for lunch. Shifts are from 9:30am-2:30pm with an additional shift from 7:30am-9:15am during the winter months
- Appraising goods, sorting items and serving customers at the Goodwill Shop.
- Shifts at the Goodwill Shop are from 10:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-6:00pm, Monday to Saturday
- Assisting in fundraising campaigns such as Pancake Day
- Managing the logistics of annual Mission events such as the Winter Breakfast Launch and The Prahran Mission Annual Art Exhibition
- Providing professional consulting advice on specific projects

| Material Aid & Emergency Relief | 3 hours (11am - 2pm Thursdays) | Assist people with economic disadvantage to obtain food, transport, phone and clothing vouchers. This position is supported by the Emergency relief co-ordinator. |

How do I volunteer?
Volunteering for Prahran Mission is easy, simply fill out the Volunteer Application Form and the Consent to Police Check form and post it along with a photo copy of your drivers licence, passport or birth certificate to:
