The Voices Vic group gives people a chance to discover what the voices they hear may mean.  Further insight into what it is all about can be discovered.  This can be empowering and let people get on with what they have to do in life.  August 09

The hearing voices group has been tremendously helpful for me.  After spending almost 5 years living reclusively, it has enabled me to meet some new people and make friends, it has also enabled me to talk about the real experiences of hearing voices and psychosis.  August 09

"Riding with Morpheus"

It's not exactly sleep-walking, it's more sleep-waking, but it's somewhere in between worlds, a limbo of not quite awake to logic and reasoning and not asleep to people and things around.  In this state of sleep-waking the person is able to move and think about what is going on.  But it's like two things are happening, the waking world and the dream world and the person is experiencing both at once.

I want to find a way of describing that state of riding with Morpheus.  It can be a wonderful fantasy of magic and strange coincidences, but it can also turn nightmarish.  click here to read the rest of 'Riding with Morpheus', by Initially NO.

My Hearing Voices Experience

Twenty-one years ago I experienced hearing my first voices. As the hearing voices movement was beginning in Holland, across the world in Australia I tackled them on my own, unaware it had dawned on a mental health professional to question the experience and begin to unravel it, to find the keys to unlock and explain in rational terms, the experience of hearing voices.  click here to read the rest of 'My Hearing Voices Experience' by Taania Huddleston

The voices group has been my mainstay since my psychotic experience.  It's been the only place I could talk to anybody about my voices experience and in doing that it's maintained my sanity and been incredibly supportive.  Thanks everyone. August 09
